Take Action!
With time running out in Congress, Senators Byrd and
Rockefeller need to hear from their constituents, urging them to
push for passage of the Monongahela Act.

Thank You, West
Virginia
An historic legislative initiative to protect West
Virginia's wild places is pending in U.S. Congress, awaiting a vote
on the Senate floor to send it to the President's desk to be signed
into law. Such progress would have been impossible without the
persistent involvement of those who deeply care about protecting
special areas on the Mon.
After a clear message was sent from a broad based
coalition of supporters, our Congressional Representatives and
Senators responded by introducing the first legislation to protect
the Mon in more than 25 years. The Wild Monongahela Act is
very close to being enacted on Capitol Hill, but until that happens,
the future of these areas remains uncertain. Sign up
for our updates and E-Newsletters below and we'll keep you posted
about the bill's status in addition to other important news.
